Car Buying Questions - Tip #1 Dealer Internet Pricing

There are so many car buying questions that may run through your head when you go to purchase a new car. Hopefully this post will answer any questions you may have about getting the best price on a new car. I just recently had to purchase a new car and I was dreading the whole car buying experience, however this car buying process was much different for me than the past due to a major discovery on my part, dealer internet pricing. I narrowed my car choice down to one and began searching different dealer’s inventory. I came across a particular dealer that offered the car I wanted at a significantly lower price than the rest of the dealers. The listing said that it was the internet purchase price and to request more information I could email them about it. I was very skeptical and felt there had to be some kind of catch, but my interest was peaked so I emailed them. I received an email within a few hours stating there is nothing wrong with the car and that they decided to put their bottom line price on the internet for a quick sale. I set up a test drive and after decide to purchase the car. At this point I was ready to deal with a pushy salesman and expected to be thrown a curve ball on the purchase price. To my surprise the salesman said he would pull the price that I discussed with their online sales person and sure enough it was exactly what I agreed upon. The paper work was drawn up and at no point did I have to haggle or argue. This was by far the easiest car buying process I have ever had. I will never purchase another new car without looking for dealer internet pricing first.

Jan 05, 09 at 4:05 pmGreat tip. I’ve not spent near enough time doing that type of research. I’ve been more of a hands on type in spite of my years on the net.
Thanks for the advice and I’ll definitely try it for my next purchase.

Jan 09, 10 at 12:46 pmThat is some great advice and works most of the time. I have seen dealers that leave out certain things such as destination or some other charge that they add on to the car when you get there. You just have to stick to your guns.
