Twitter - Everyone Has an Opinion, What’s Yours?

Every so often a new service or phenomenon comes along and attracts a lot of attention from curious people. Twitter is one of those services that has captivated an audience of loyal “followers” who often advocate its use and purpose. For those of you who are not familiar with what Twitter is, it is a micro blogging platform that allows people to tell the world about what is important to them at any particular moment, in 140 characters or less. People with similar interests or who find value in what your “tweet” about will follow your updates and in return … Continue Reading

7 Tips for Stress Free Airline Travel

Ever traveled somewhere and the stress of getting to your destination almost ruins the trip? As someone who travels frequently both for work and pleasure, I have learned a few simple tricks to make the traveling experience much easier.

  1. For the best deals, book as far in advance as possible. Generally, the earlier you you book, the lower price you get. So if you decide to go somewhere, don’t wait to book. Do it NOW!
  2. Pack carry on baggage only. This is especially true now that the Airlines are charging fees for checking bags. I could probably write another post on how … Continue Reading

GoDaddy and the Unexpected Response

Well I am shocked and surprised, but in a good way.  One day after my post about GoDaddy and Wordpress not being a good mix, a GoDaddy representative left a comment asking for more information on the issue.  I decided to take the time to email them, because if there is a solution, I still have the hosting packages and may be able to put them to good use.  I still don’t have the issue resolved.  They keep insisting that Wordpress permalinks work fine on their hosting packages and I received a response to my email stating, “Currently … Continue Reading

Bad credit got you down? Tips on improving your credit score

With credit card offers, car purchases, mortgages, and the variety of other things that put you in debt, it is very easy to get in over your head. One missed payment here, a few open credit cards there, and the next thing you know you can’t even qualify for a credit card at the Gap.

People with bad credit generally never plan on ending up that way. I know I didn’t. For me, it wasn’t so much that I couldn’t make any payments on time, I got hit by a few things I did not realize could hurt your credit score. … Continue Reading

GoDaddy hosting for Wordpress - Not a good mix

After 4 full days of researching and fighting GoDaddy hosting, the site is finally up!  Only it is no longer hosted on GoDaddy.  GoDaddy and Wordpress are not a good mix.  I really wish I would have done my research beforehand, but I guess sometimes you only learn from your mistakes.  The main issue I found with GoDaddy and Wordpress is that it is impossible to get permalinks to work.  I am a very technical person and can usually figure anything out, but I tried every suggested solution and not a single one worked.  All my permalinks went to … Continue Reading

Car Buying Questions - Tip #4 Making Changes to Financing

So you bought your new car and didn’t have much time to research financing.  You get home and do some checking to see if you got a good deal or not and you discover you could have gotten a better interest rate from another financial institution.  You now find yourself upset and mad over the fact you could be paying less for your new car.  Another situation you may find yourself in is you bought gap coverage or an extended warranty and either decide you don’t want anymore or found it cheaper somewhere else.  The initial thought running through your … Continue Reading

Car Buying Questions - Tip #3 Extended Warranties

Much like gap coverage in my previous post, extended warranties are another item delears will try to sell you when you sit down to sign the final papers.  You may find that an extended warranty is important to you and would like to buy one, but one of your many car buying questions will be, “should I buy it from the dealer.”  If you do not need to finance the extended warranty and can pay for it out of pocket, then the answer to that question is no you should not buy it from the dealer.  Generally dealers will charge … Continue Reading

Car Buying Questions - Tip #2 Gap Coverage

If you are in the market to buy a new car and you are like most people and will be getting a loan, one thing to consider getting is Gap Coverage or Gap Insurance.  When you purchase a new car and you drive it off the lot the value of the car significantly depreciates.  If you were to get into an accident driving it off the lot and it was classified as total loss then you could potentially be out thousands of dollars.  Since the value of your car is less than the amount you financed, you would be expected … Continue Reading

Car Buying Questions - Tip #1 Dealer Internet Pricing

There are so many car buying questions that may run through your head when you go to purchase a new car.  Hopefully this post will answer any questions you may have about getting the best price on a new car.  I just recently had to purchase a new car and I was dreading the whole car buying experience, however this car buying process was much different for me than the past due to a major discovery on my part, dealer internet pricing.  I narrowed my car choice down to one and began searching different dealer’s inventory.  I came across a … Continue Reading
